NBU Animal Welfare
New British Union opposes all exploitation of animals that involves cruelty. All animals are at the mercy of humans and it is our duty to respect and protect them. Whether domestic or wild, we must give the same respect to animals as we would our fellow men and women. The New British Union recognises that all life is God-given and very precious and therefore we recognise that the entire natural world is intrinsically linked to one another and anyone with a healthy awareness and regard for our environment will recognise this.
The New British Union opposes all blood sports. We recognise that in the past all animals have suffered cruelty in order to amuse the lowest instincts of mankind. The New British Union would therefore uphold the ban on all blood sports as laid down in parliamentary law.
New British Union also apposes experimentation on animals because we regard such an activity as cruel and unnecessary. It might be argued that with so much laboratory experimentation on animals related to the medical condition of humans why would we not consider giving our vilest fellow humans, those convicted for terrible murders or those who have violated and abused children, an opportunity to redeem themselves rather than have liberal busybodies invent “rights” for them and allow them to re-offend. It is important that we recognise the rights of innocent animals and humans. However monstrous criminals could redeem themselves by volunteering for laboratory research, thereby serving the future health and welfare of the young and old, those most vulnerable and disadvantaged, those groups they had previously preyed upon, harmed and violated. Let them replace the guinea pigs the rats, the dog and the monkeys for a change. Of course this is never going to happen but imagine for one minute if you would the outcry that would ring around the world if such a policy was put into law. Yet humanity thinks nothing of subjecting animals to this type of barbarism. Animals deserve our love and respect and not our cruelty. Mankind is capable of a lot but we have gone too far in our search for health and beauty. It is important that as humans we recognise that animals are sentient beings and have very similar emotions and feelings to those of our own species. This is self-evident to those who are close to animals on a daily basis and we must educate our society in this regard. With this in mind I propose the following:-
It will be made a criminal act to:

In listing these thirteen points it should be noted that the New British Union Animal Welfare Officer may use his/her discretion to review this policy. However, it must be made clear that provisions for punishment must be set out and clearly understood. This animal welfare policy has been created so to afford animals with protection, therefore any persons who breach this policy can expect hard and fast punishment at the hands of the law.
Animal cruelty as defined in this policy will impose a mandatory custodial sentence. For the cruelty/experimentation of an animal the guilty party will receive up to Two (2) years imprisonment. For the cruelty/experimentation of an animal that results in the death of the animal, the guilty party will receive up to Five (5) years imprisonment. For punishment to be seen as an effective deterrent it must be seen as harsh, thus deterring people from committing such crimes in the first place. Therefore, we propose that if found guilty the individual will have no automatic right of appeal to sentencing.
Once again it is our duty to lead the way were the old parties of Government have failed to do so before us. Once again we expose the failings of democratic talking shops, where the will of the people is ignored or trodden underfoot to suit the ideals of the ruling class. At New British Union we take a stand, we take a firm position on this policy and others like it.
